I had to wait in line for an hour and fifteen minutes, but I voted. :)

Actually, it'll be green either way, but we found out last Friday that we'll be having a little boy in November! Everything else looks good - 10 fingers, 10 toes, two arms, two legs :)

Some big news this time around! For those of you who don't know yet, Karen and I are expecting our first baby around November 11th. Obviously, we're very excited :)

I hate spam. Last month, (March 2004) I got 15,852 spam and virus-related messages. That's about 511 per day.

So, I upped the ante in the war on spam today, making my filters much more aggressive and just outright /dev/null'ing a ton of stuff (Virus notifications from stupid products like Symantec AV, anyone?). SpamAssassin does a pretty good job, but even sifting through it quickly by tagging it in mutt takes a long time.

I hope Hell has a special place for spammers and their ilk.

Last night when we came home, there were a bunch of cop cars right in front of our house .. turns out some jackass stole a Domino's pizza guy's car as he was delivering a pizza to someone, and the chase ended at lucky Jasper Loop. So I had to park on the side street since we couldn't get to our spaces. Went to go to lunch this morning around noon, and found out that someone had smashed the driver's window on our new Explorer. Grrrr. If it hadn't broken and fallen in the car it wouldn't have been that huge of a deal ... we have a $0 deductible on glass claims through our insurance. But because it broke completely, it caused a bunch of scratches on the outside of the door, and on the metal trim on the inside. Not to mention the shitloads of glass that I had to clean up.

It's funny, I have a computer that's pretty nice and all, but my favorite games are still the old ones from my childhood. A few of my favorites...

The news is saying that we are supposed to get 4-8" of snow tonight. So all the gas prices in the area immediately shot up 5 cents a gallon. Opportunistic bastards. Good thing I already got my bread, milk, water, and toilet paper!

Last week we bought a new 2004 Ford Explorer XLT Sport 4x4 to replace my wife's crappy Focus, so I suppose I'm partly to blame. A copy of the spec sheet from Ford is here, and I took some pictures of the interior here. Exterior pictures will have to wait until it's actually clean... it was raining/snowing when we bought it, so it's all yucky looking :)

Also, I think that some people have way too much time on their hands.

I've put up some pictures from our trip to the Northglade Inn Bed & Breakfast. My wife made the stained glass fireplace screen shown in the pictures.
